Former President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he would veto a federal abortion ban if elected again.

“Everyone knows I would never support a federal abortion ban, under any circumstances, and would veto it because it is up to the states to decide based on the will of their voters (the will of the people!).” 

Trump wrote in an all-caps post on his Truth Social platform during the CBS vice presidential debate between his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. “Like Ronald Reagan before me, I fully support the three exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother,” Trump continued.

Senior has forgotten about this. Last month, in the ABC debate with Kamala Harris, Trump said that he wouldn’t sign a federal abortion ban. However, when asked whether he would spare the pen to not veto such a ban in case of a future election dispute, he said, “I wouldn’t have to.” Trump also rejected wishes made by Senator Vance in an NBC News interview, in which Vance said that Trump would veto any such law.

Speaking of making distinctive differences, abortion has been one of the most notable issues in this 2024 race, and it sets Harris out firmly. That has also helped put Fleming on point with female voters nationally and the swing states, partly though, to bald.

Republicans have talked a lot this cycle about Democrat-backed limits on abortion rights and other limits that were reversed because Trump’s Supreme Court nominees said that they were no longer constitutional.
