The death toll from starvation rises and Israel’s raids reach eastern Lebanon

On the 158th day of the war on Gaza and the second day of the month of Ramadan, the Israeli occupation army continued its raids on various areas of the Gaza Strip, causing martyrs and wounded,
and new deaths were recorded due to the ongoing Israeli starvation campaign.

According to Al Jazeera, the number of martyrs from the Israeli bombing of Palestinians waiting for aid near the Kuwait Roundabout in Gaza had risen to 9.

In the latest developments on the Lebanese-Israeli border, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that more than 100 missiles were launched from Lebanon and targeted the Golan Heights and the Hula
Plain in the Upper Galilee.

Israeli Army Radio reported that a number of missiles were intercepted and some of them landed in uninhabited areas, without recording any casualties or damage.

On the ground, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it continues to engage in fierce clashes with the occupation forces on all fronts of the fighting.

On the political level, after the talks aimed at an agreement that included a ceasefire and prisoner exchange faltered, the Secretary- General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, called for a truce
on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, while Washington once again expressed its opposition to an Israeli invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip without guaranteeing the protection of civilians there.

UNRWA: The occupation prohibited the entry of critical medical aid

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said that the Israeli occupation has prohibited the entry of critical medical aid, including life-saving supplies, into the Gaza Strip.

Lazzarini stressed on the X platform that all residents of the Gaza Strip depend on humanitarian aid to survive, adding, “Very little is coming and restrictions are increasing.”

He explained, “A truck loaded with aid was returned because it contained scissors used in medical kits for children.”

He pointed out that the list includes basic and life-saving materials, including anesthesia medications, oxygen cylinders, ventilators, water cleaning tablets, cancer medications, and other necessary medical supplies.

Sirens sound in several settlements in the occupied Golan

Al Jazeera said that sirens were sounding in several settlements in the occupied Golan and towns in the Hula Plain in the Upper Galilee.

The correspondent reported that more than 30 missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli positions in the Galilee and the occupied Golan.

This comes as Israeli interceptor missiles exploded in the airspace of the border villages in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon.

UNRWA: There are easier and faster ways to deliver aid to Gaza

The Communications Director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees said, the number of trucks through the crossing points linking Gaza to Israel must be increased.

There are easier, faster and safer ways than delivering aid by air and sea. There are easier, faster and safer ways to deliver aid more consistently.
