Slavery in Islam: What are Islamic teachings?

Is there any concept of slavery in Islam? Often people say it’s a part of Islamic teachings that needs explanation, Islam doesn’t promote slavery but only the prisoners of war, those who came to fight against the Muslims on the battlefield, would be arrested after the end of the war.

At the next stage, following Uma Manna and Uma Fida, they will be released free of charge or ransom or in exchange for their prisoners. Due to the lack of protection of international laws and state borders during this period, some prisoners survived without a state to release them, or their families were destroyed. Therefore, they needed help to return.

Keeping such people in camps could lead to social evils and burdens on the state, so they would be divided individually among the Mujahideen so that they could be assimilated into Islamic society.
And they should not be able to make any organized conspiracy and their burden should be divided
so that they can be engaged in the work of Pabda.

Apart from their other needs, if their sexual needs were not taken care of, then the Islamic society
would have become a society of prostitutes and loveless bulls. Therefore, it was arranged that they
should be married to each other so that they could live a pure and honorable life. A slave who gets
married to someone becomes haram for someone else, even for the owner.
If the owner of a slave wants to have sexual relations with his slave, he should advertise it in
society as marriage. There are no secret relationships.
However, in such a case, the consent of the bridegroom was not considered necessary due to the
legal complexity that marriage is a free contract between two free and independent parties and
where one party is not free and independent, therefore toward him. Its owner will be a lawyer.

Although the issue of “Istra Qaq” (making slaves) of prisoners of war has not been described in the
Qur’an as a single command, there is no doubt that the commands of slaves have also been
described in the Holy Qur’an, which proves that the President of Islam And there were slaves
during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), such as the rulings
of marriage with a slave, becoming a Muharram or “Makkah Tibet” (pledge for the freedom of
slaves), etc.
It is explained in the verses, for example, the verses of Surah Nisa, Surah Mu Manoon, Surah Nahal,
Surah Noor, Surah Rum, and Surah Ahzab.

This is the reason why some people object to Islam, why Islam, despite all its high teachings and
raising human values, did not draw a letter of cancellation on the issue of slavery as a whole and
declared the freedom of all slaves through a categorical and general order. Why not?

It is right that Islam has recommended a lot about slaves, but the most important thing is their
unconditional freedom. Why shouldn’t he be happy with it?
In a short sentence it can be answered that Islam has given a plan and a schedule-based program
for the freedom of slaves according to which they are gradually enriched with the blessing of
freedom and the same freedom in society.
There is no pleasant effect either. But before explaining and detailing this Islamic project, we draw
the attention of the reader to a few points.
The struggle against slavery first started in Portugal, then it spread to the American and Asian
countries.
Slavery continued in England until 1840, France until 1848, Holland until 1863, and the United
States until 1865. Finally, a conference was held in Brussels in which a joint declaration was made
to end slavery worldwide. Arrangements were made and this was in 1890 (that is, less than 20
years have passed).
It is true that the people of Europe proved to be pioneers for the abolition of slavery, but when it is
taken into consideration, it will be known that slavery has not only been abolished, but it has
become more dangerous and horrible than before.
That is, in the form of colonialism of nations and imperialist conquest of countries, in such a way
that as individual slaves became weaker, collective slavery and imperialist conquests became
stronger and stronger. British imperialism, if the end of individual slavery is a step forward for
colonialism and imperialism.
The Qur’an has also given great advice about slaves, thus it says:
“Worship God, do not associate with him parents, close relatives, orphans, orphans, near and far
neighbors, friends, homeless people and slaves.

God hates selfish people”.

Islam is considered the worst and most hateful business, even in a hadith of the Prophet of Islam
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that:
“Sharal-Nannas Min Baa-ul-Nannas”.

“The worst people are those who sell slaves”

This is enough to understand the Islamic point of view about slaves, which shows the direction of the Islamic projects.
