Islam is a Conquest Ideology On Jihad, War, & Peace

Jihad means to exert utmost effort in a good deed and to bear all kinds of pain and hardship.

Imam Raghib Isfahani while praising Jihad says:

“Immediately using one’s full strength in fighting and defending the enemy is called Jihad.”

Whereas in other wars, the hearts of worldly nations are filled with various worldly and private goals and objectives. Somewhere the lust for land grabbing is dominant, some where the greed to collect wealth dominates, and some where the desire for name and fame and notoriety is blasphemous.

The heart of a Mujahid is free from personal motives and desires only the pleasure of God. He is not interested in wealth, nor longing for booty, nor does he have a problem with fame and glory, nor lust for fame. He spends his money only to destroy the fortress of disbelief to destroy the tyrannical forces and to establish the government of God on God’s earth.

.In the desire to cleanse this temporary abode from oppression and oppression, he accepts the hardships of war and conflict and continues to make sacrifices until either he dies drinking martyrdom or becomes victorious. Illuminates this Khakdan with divine light.

In terms of Islamic Shari’ah, dedicating all one’s life, financial, physical, linguistic, and mental abilities and talents for the publication and promotion of the religion of Islam, exaltation and elevation, and obtaining the pleasure of God is called Jihad.

Although peace and order are the best things, it is a pity that evil-minded people and evil-loving nations do not allow peace-loving people and peace-loving nations to sit comfortably. There are only two ways to achieve peace, one is to bow down to the other and thus avoid the danger of conflict, and the other is to have peace that confronts the seditionist.

Types of Jihad

Jihad is defined as continuous action. According to Islamic law, it has the following types:

  • Jihad with knowledge
  • Jihad with wealth
  • Jihad in action
  • Self-Jihad
  • Jihad by fighting

Courage, courage and zeal for jihad:

An army, no matter how well trained and well armed, may be no more than a grain of sand in numbers. Unless his soldiers are characterized by courage and bravery, there is little hope of success.

Once in the battle of Yarmouk, when the Christians pushed the Muslims to the tents, the Muslim women sitting in the tent uprooted the poles of the tents and attacked the enemy. This incident affected the Muslims so much that they fell upon the enemy in a fit of rage and never again allowed them to come close to their tents. History is full of examples of Islamic zeal for jihad.

When the Prophet (PBUH) was selecting the Mujahideen for the Battle of Badr, he saw a child who was trying to give the impression that he was tall by raising his heels. You (peace be upon him) wanted to ignore him as a minor, but he was stubborn. So he gave permission. Another boy was standing next to him. When the Prophet did not allow him, he started crying and asked me to wrestle with this other boy. When they wrestled, he overthrew the first boy and thus gained permission to go to Jihad. These were the two boys who killed Abu Jahl and became martyrs themselves. If the enthusiasm for war exceeds the limits of bravery at the time of battle, then it is called Tahur.

The order of Jihad:

The order of jihad by fighting was revealed in the Madani period of Prophethood. In this regard, the Quraish and the Muslims first fought a battle at Badr, in which the Muslims were victorious. Because life is taken and given in Jihad and taking life has always been prohibited in the divine laws.

Exhortation to Jihad:

Allah Ta’ala has strongly advised Muslims to fight Jihad. He said to wage jihad against infidels and hypocrites. O Prophetﷺ! Fight jihad against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be strict with them, their abode is hell and that is an evil place. (Al-Tahreem 9) and said for Jihad against the People of the Book.

Those of the People of the Book who neither believe in Allah nor the Last Day, nor those things which Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) have forbidden, nor do they accept the religion of truth, fight them here. Until they pay jizya with their own hands, while they remain in subjection.
