Israeli Bombing in Central Gaza kills 75, Overflowing the Hospitals
Palestinian medics confirmed violence between armed groups and aerial attacks by the Israeli forces left at least 75 people dead across the territory in central Gaza in the past day, an Al Jazeera correspondent said. They have mainly been directed in the two crowded al-Bureij and Maghazi refugee areas. These raids are said to target Hamas, though ground forces are pressing their campaign in this area; reports are coming from the al-Bureij neighborhood.
Crisis in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital
This is especially the case in the central region of Gaza, where the only working hospital, namely Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, is on the brink of being overburdened with patient traffic. The Gaza health ministry source quoted the hospital as a place “overflowing with wounded people,” with many of them being treated on the floor because of the large number of victims. The health situation is being worsened by the fact many Palestinians are being forced out of their homes as those in al-Bureij, one of the spoke areas where people were receiving those fleeing the Strip’s southern town of Rafah after Israeli operations.
Israeli tanks have entered heavily into Rafah city, thus putting into question the earlier proclaimed American “line in the sand” concerning Israeli conduct in the Palestinian town. This is within a more significant military approach that has been scaled recently.
In the middle of the growing scale of conflict, Israel has agreed to a new truce plan offered by US President Joe Biden. Sullivan added that the ball is in Hamas’s court now, implying that the group may decide to continue the war and the suffering and the violence.

The three-point plan of action that Biden introduced as the initiative of Israel defines ways of the cessation of hostilities and the rebuilding of Gaza. However, leaders in Israel have since promised to continue with the process of destroying Hamas.
Osama Hamdan, a Hamas’ senior official, said during Tuesday’s interview that the group would not accept any peace deal that does not also incorporate a permanent cessation of hostilities and a full-fledged Israeli pullout from the Gaza Strip. ”The Israeli reaction speaks about unlocking negotiations over any file at any time with no defined end,” Hamdan said from Beirut. ”This only goes to show that Israel only wants one phase, the phase where it detains its prisoners and then goes back to its onslaught and war against our people. ”
Thus, Hamdan urged mediators to get a precise assurance from Israel on a non-negotiable permanent ceasefire, without which and without complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, any similar deal would be unpalatable to Hamas.
New events present further challenges, including IDP situations that occurred due to the warfare in Gaza. Although there is some optimism about a cease-fire, then maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel. This raises questions, but there are different views and stands of the parties involved, making the chances of a successful resolution a dream.
