US Approves $20 Billion Military Sale to Israel, Including F-15 Jets and Tank Rounds

WASHINGTON, D. C. – In a significant development, U. S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has approved the probable $20+ military supplies provided to Israel, the Pentagon stated on Tuesday.

The approved sale relates to advanced F-15 fighter aircraft and other essential equipment for use by its security forces. The Pentagon quoted the value of the possible deal, encompassing the F-15 jets and accessories, at nearly $ 19 billion. Blinken has also approved tank cartridges amounting to $774M and military vehicles for $583M.

In particular, the tank rounds are likely to be ready for delivery at once and will thus immediately increase the military might of Israel on various battlefields. But if one cares to think of Boeing Co. F-15 fighter jets, they take years to build due to complexity and other production times.

The US has always been an ally to Israel since their intervention is deemed to have made Israel a special friend in the Middle East region. This support has not waned even as much as Israel keeps on launching military attacks in Gaza that have heavily damaged the infrastructure in Palestine.

On the one hand, Washington continues providing Israel with high-tech weapon systems. On the other hand, it is arranging for a truce in Gaza. The Biden administration has cited concerns that the seven-and-a-half-year conflict might spawn a Middle East war.

The advanced targeted killings of key personalities in the region have compounded this. The assassination of the Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran and Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut triggered threats of reprisal against Israel, hence raising speculations of a broad war.

This is clear from the approval of a significant military sale that qualifies the US’s determination to support Israel, alongside balancing the geopolitical relations in the Middle East at a time of regional turmoil.

This particular arms sale has been approved when the world is increasingly watching The conflict with concern, and many leaders have even called for caution. Nevertheless, the U. S. remains the leading ally of Israel in defence and enhancing its force strength in a world that is often ravaged by conflict. At 61 billion dollars, this deal is among the most significant achievements recently. It will probably extend the strategic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in military matters. Still, while this agreement will be the subject of celebration by the two countries and their people, it will be regarded as dangerous by critics who argue that it will escalate tensions in the Middle East.
