Stacey Williams, a former model, is one of the accusers claiming that former President Donald Trump groped and sexually touched her back in 1993 at the Trump Tower ‘According to a statement prepared by her lawyers, Williams was a professional model in the 1990s and says that she met him through Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender. That is the latest allegation of sexual misconduct against President Trump and raises further questions about his relationship with Epstein.
According to Williams, she first met Trump in 1992 at a Christmas party, courtesy of Epstein, whom she says she was casually dating at the time. She notes that the friendship between Epstein and Trump was remarkably close. The alleged groping happened in late winter or very early spring 1993, when Epstein suggested she and he drop by Trump Tower for a visit.
Williams termed the meeting very scary. She says that after shaking hands with Trump, he pulled her close to his body and began touching her breasts, waist, and buttocks with his hands. She was in a daze; she could not recall what had happened, but she remembered that Epstein and Donald Trump smiled at each other at the time.
‘Trump’s campaign press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, immediately responded to the accusations on social media, labelling them “unequivocally false.” ‘She hinted at the political manipulation behind the claim, considering that the president’s election in 2024 is two weeks away.’ She also identified Williams’ connection as a former activist for Barack Obama while notifying them of the fact that the accusations occurred by a call arranged by Kamala Harris supporters, who are the Democratic counterpart of the Trump presidential candidate.
Williams has a personal stake in the Epstein case, given that he’s one of the most prolific sexual predators to have ever existed. Epstein was also said to be an acquaintance of Trump’s from the 1990s and early 2000s. The two were photographed together fairly regularly during that time. In 2002, Trump called Epstein “a terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women as much as I do,” many of whom were “on the younger side.”
‘But when Epstein was arrested on sex-trafficking charges in 2019, so desperate was the disgraced financier to distance himself from the president that it became clear how isolated Trump had made himself. The former president said he “lost contact” with Epstein in the early 2000s and “wasn’t a fan.”
.
The Williams account falls into a broader pattern of sexual misconduct allegations lodged against Trump over several decades. Nearly two dozen women have accused him of inappropriate behaviour, including unwanted kissing, groping, and walking in on women in changing rooms. In 2022, a jury ruled that Trump had sexually abused E. Jean Carroll in 1996, awarding her $5 million in damages.
Williams is not isolated; numerous other women have made identical allegations against him. In the last year, one such woman was Amy Dorris, a former model, who said in October that Trump touched her inappropriately in 1997 and, like Williams, accused the president of using his power to take advantage of her.
Williams shared that she decided to wait until now to make her experience public because she valued her privacy and feared the backlash faced by other survivors. While she had referenced her experience on social media before, what held her back from speaking out more fully was fear of exposing herself and her family to public scrutiny.’
Initially reticent, Williams spoke about her experience on a Zoom call arranged by “Survivors for Kamala,” a supporters group for the Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris. She said she was ashamed and confused after the fact and described how Epstein berated her after calling her a “bad f——” responsible for letting Trump behave this way.
Several close friends of Williams appeared, among them an anonymous witness, who testified that she had even spoken to them as far back as 2005 or 2006 about the alleged incident with Trump, recalling how he had fondled her after introducing herself at a party hosted by Epstein. Another close friend, Ally Gutwillinger, stated that Williams discussed the incident with her in 2015, just a few short months after Trump was nominated for president.
Williams also provided a copy of a postcard Trump allegedly sent to her months after the alleged incident in 1993-an aerial view of Mar-a-Lago, his Florida resort. Its message, written by Trump, read: “Stacey- Your home away from home. Love Donald,” reinforcing her charge of unwanted contact months after the alleged incident.’
