Increasing crime rates among children, what are the reasons?

According to the leading child protection expert, tens of thousands of children are in danger from the criticism of organized gangs.

Prof Alexis Jay said there’s no national plan to tackle criminals exploiting children. It will invest up to £5 million to help victims according to the home office.

She found that the same tricks used by “grooming gangs” to harm young people are also being used to draw children into crime.

Recently, while listening to the newspaper, news came through that three children, between the ages of thirteen and fifteen, had stolen a motorcycle. More details of the news could not be found, but this news left a thought.

The age mentioned in the news is when children are either busy with studies or do not have time to play with them. This is the young generation, which has to go ahead and contribute to the development of this country. why is it that children of this age commit crimes?

If this is investigated, apart from its economic and social aspects, psychological aspects also come out. We must know these reasons, which are enough to push teenagers into the quagmire of crime. Children are the architects of the future and the hope for better times to come. Therefore, it is best to help children determine their correct preferences at an early age.

Because early mental development involves social, economic, intellectual, and emotional factors. A child learns more from his environment and surroundings than from being taught. In such a case, the preferences and behaviors of children born in poverty and accustomed to a comfortable environment will be different. When a child is young, many desires also arise in his heart.

Violence against children and violation of their rights is the main cause of this serious problem. The most oppressed section is the children because when they have days of play and study, responsibilities are put on them.

When the father is unemployed, the child will think of earning some illegal means. Here the responsibility applies to the state, which is taking full responsibility for it. Therefore, the uncertainty of the future is also a reason for this. There is no provision for education and training of child criminals so that they can become good citizens after release.

This law was made for the protection and correction of children below the age of 18 years. Under this comprehensive law, separate courts were established for children. Under Section 10 of the said Act, the police station in charge shall release the child in a bailable offense. In non-bailable offenses, the child will be produced in court immediately and the court will hand over the child to correctional centers or correctional officers depending on the nature of the offense.

Apart from this, the services of a psychologist will also be obtained if needed. In my view, the solution to protect children from negativity is to keep children engaged in sports or any physical activity apart from education so that their brains remain healthy and distinguish between good and bad.

When a child is put into work at an early age, he becomes neglected by his parents and eventually embraces evil because he finds it an easy way out.
