Palestine & Israel Conflict

Israeli army blows up one of Al-Shifa Complex’s buildings.

Arab media said that today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces blew up a building inside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza City, after intimidating the displaced people there and threatening them via loudspeakers to “evacuate it immediately.”

For its part, Al-Aqsa TV reported in a brief statement via Telegram that “the occupation army blew up the specialized building in Al-Shifa Hospital.”

This development came after the occupation army threatened the displaced people inside the complex via loudspeakers with the need to evacuate the complex immediately, otherwise it would be bombed by the Israeli Air Force.

According to media special photos from inside the complex are coming out, which is under siege by the occupation forces for the third day in a row, while hundreds are arrested inside it.

The pictures showed a large number of women and children after the occupation forces gathered them in one of the complex’s buildings in preparation for their forcible deportation after the fathers and husbands were arrested.

Yesterday evening, dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured as a result of an Israeli artillery shelling that targeted the vicinity of the Al-Shifa Complex during iftar time on the tenth day of Ramadan.

The artillery shelling caused widespread fires around the complex, killing and wounding many Palestinians – including women and children – in addition to the displacement of hundreds to areas east of Gaza City, including the Al-Tuffah, Al-Zaytoun, Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Sabra neighborhoods.

Since dawn last Monday, an occupation army force has continued to storm the Shifa complex despite the presence of thousands of sick, wounded, and displaced people inside it, in parallel with widespread killings, shootings, and arrests carried out among the displaced people inside the hospital, and the bombing of nearby homes.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli army announced the killing of 90 Palestinians and interrogation of 300 in Al-Shifa Hospital and indicated that it had arrested 160 others and transferred them to Israel for investigation.

This is the second time that Israeli forces have stormed the complex since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023. They stormed it on November 16 after besieging it for a week and then withdrew from it after 8 days. During the storm, its courtyards and parts of its buildings and equipment were destroyed. Medical, in addition to the electricity generator.

Since last October 7, Israel has launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of civilians martyred and wounded – most of them children and women – in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure, which led to Tel Aviv being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of genocide.
