Yemen’s Houthis pledge Undying support for Gaza despite Israeli Attacks

Yemen’s Houthis said on Sunday that its operations would not stop with recent Israeli attacks as it commits to intensify its military support to Gaza. Based on data released by the Houthi-controlled government Health Ministry six people were killed and 83 others injured as Israeli forces targeted the Yemeni port Ad Hudaydah in western Yemen on Saturday.

The attack was admitted by the Israeli army, the Head of the Prime Minister’s office for communications declared, as a ‘retaliation to a drone attack which Houthi group in Yemen attempted to conduct on Tel Aviv this Friday. ’ The drone attack led to the emergence of one Israeli citizen death case and ten injured.

On the Yemeni local TV channel, Houthi’s leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said that the Israeli aggression on Yemen should not give the enemy a deterrent effect nor cease supporting Gaza. “The enemy will not gain a thing from the Israeli aggression on Yemen and will not acquire a shield of deterrence, and the escalation will continue in support of Gaza,” he added. He went on his part to stress the fact that those fronts against Israel in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen have been able to hamper the known approach used by the Zionists of putting and keeping Gaza under siege.

Al-Houthi was confident and claimed that Israel is on its way to declining withdrawal and weakening its factors. The bombings that happened on Saturday were considered the first direct counterattack of Israel after the recent Houthi aggression.

Pentagon officials spoke to the private Israeli Channel 12 and mentioned that Tel Aviv struck the port city of Al Hudaydah on its own, without the green light from Washington. This underlines Israel’s intention to deter threats while ignoring the latter’s occurrence on its terms.

The Houthis have been launching missiles and drones at ships belonging to or even heading to, Israel directly or indirectly through the Red Sea and parts of the Gulf of Aden. The above are in support of the people of the Gaza Strip which to this day despite October 7, 2023, has been attacked through a military that has claimed the lives of almost forty thousand people. Daily attacks and increasing numbers of deaths have received increased attention and condemnation from the international community.

The latest demonstration of the families at Ben Gurion Airport shows that Israelis are getting more annoyed and desperate due to the continuing struggle. Their insistence on a hostage swap agreement shows people’s suffering and the psychological pressure that people with family members who are subjected to ransom face.

The demonstration also symbolizes a demand for output and a fair solution not only for Israel but for the global society to become involved and help resolve the suffering of the people in Gaza and the unending bloody conflict. As Prime Minister Netanyahu set foot in Washington the pressure increased concerning actions being taken towards the achievement of a political solution as well as the rescue of the hostages; stressing the imperative need for politics to deliver.
