Today, Tuesday, the Lebanese Hezbollah launched a drone attack on Israeli military sites north of the city of Acre, the farthest point the party’s attacks have reached since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza.
Israeli media published scenes showing the state of fear among Israelis in Akka while activating air defenses to confront the drones launched from Lebanon.
Hezbollah said, in a statement, that this afternoon it launched “a combined air attack with occupation and assault marches that targeted the Golani Brigade’s command headquarters and the headquarters of Egoz Unit 621 in the Sharaga barracks, north of the occupied city of Akka, and hit its targets accurately.”
The party stated that the attack came in support of the resistance in Gaza and “in response to the Israeli aggression against the town of Adloun and the assassination of one of the Mujahideen brothers,” Hussein Ali Ezqul, whom the party mourned in a previous statement.
For its part, the Israeli army said that it successfully intercepted two suspicious air targets over the maritime space in northern Israel.
The Israeli Channel 12 said that air defenses intercepted three suspicious air targets off the coast of Nahariya and Haifa Bay in the northern region. The channel added that sirens were activated in the towns between Nahariya and Akko after suspicions of marches infiltrating the area’s airspace.
Researchers correspondent in Lebanon quoted a medical source as saying that an Israeli raid on the town of Hanin in the south of the country claimed the lives of a woman and a girl, and four others were injured, according to a preliminary toll.
The source indicated that the search for missing persons under the rubble is continuing as a result of the raid targeting a house in the town.
Israeli fighters also launched raids on the towns of Aita al-Shaab, Hula, Yaroun, Blida, the Jabour Hills, and Wadi Hunin. Israeli artillery also bombed the surroundings of the villages of Naqoura, Aita al-Shaab, Tayr Harf, Alma al-Shaab, and Kafr Shuba.
On the other hand, Hezbollah announced the implementation of a series of attacks targeting concentrations of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Al-Asi site, and in Horsh Ramim and Karantina Hill, and also targeted the radar and Ruwaisat Al-Alam sites.
The Israeli army announced that it had killed two Hezbollah military officials in air strikes in southern Lebanon.
He stated, in a statement today, Tuesday, that he had killed an official in Hezbollah’s air defense unit and another official in the party’s Radwan Force air unit.
He explained that this morning, his planes launched a raid in southern Lebanon during which they killed Hussein Ali Azqoul, an official in Hezbollah’s air defense force.
Last night, Sajid Sarafand, an official in the air unit of the Radwan Force in Hezbollah, was also assassinated in the Arzon region, according to what was stated in the Israeli statement.
