Expressing outrage, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said the statement was a clear libel for violating its territory and termed the incursions as provocative acts which may lead to increase in violence in the region. The ministry appealed to the Israeli government to stop such actions and act in accordance with its obligations under international law, in particular, to refrain from violating the sovereignty of states, including the desecration of holy sites and the rights of believers.
The authorities of Jordan have also stressed over the consequences of these invasions touching the peace process and stability within the region. They point out that such actions hamper the political process towards realization of a two-State solution and aggravated relations between the Israelis and Palestinians.
